Sidetrade Acquires EzyCollect to Expand Order-to-Cash Solutions in APAC

Sidetrade has signed binding agreements to acquire 100% of EzyCollect, the Australian SaaS leader in Order-to-Cash (O2C) for small and mid-sized businesses. This acquisition gives Sidetrade immediate access to the Asia-Pacific market and strengthens its global agentic AI finance platform.

The deal, valued at around €37 million (including earn-outs), reflects Sidetrade’s intent to scale its reach, enrich its data lake, and deliver enhanced O2C capabilities across regions.

Why EzyCollect? What It Brings

EzyCollect is a notable player in Australia and New Zealand, serving more than 1,100 client companies and managing over A$19 billion in B2B receivables via its cloud platform.

In its market, EzyCollect is known for delivering tangible improvements: in typical deployments, customers see about 40% reduction in late payments and up to 80% drop in bad debt within 90 days.

Their O2C platform covers the full cycle credit risk, collections, payment portals and includes electronic payment features.

Strategic Impact & Global Ambitions

1. APAC Market Entry & Diversification

With this acquisition, Sidetrade gained a foothold in the Asia-Pacific region, positioning EzyCollect’s Sydney operations as its regional base. The company expects APAC to represent nearly 13% of its consolidated revenue in 2026.

2. Agentic AI for the Mid-Market

Sidetrade plans to integrate its agentic AI engine, Aimie, into EzyCollect solutions, bringing AI-driven automation to mid-sized firms. Because many SMBs lack teams to manually manage collections, the agentic approach is well suited to scale.

3. Data Synergies & Smarter Models

Sidetrade’s existing data lake, which already handles trillions in B2B transaction analytics, will now be enriched with APAC mid-market payment behavior. This broadens the geographic and sectoral intelligence on which its AI models can train.

4. Complementary Product Stacking

Post-acquisition, Sidetrade would offer:

  • Augmented Cash: its enterprise-level O2C suite

  • EzyCollect by Sidetrade: a mid-market oriented version
Combining both would allow coverage across business sizes in multiple territories.

Risks & Integration Considerations

  • Cultural and Operational Alignment: EzyCollect’s brand and go-to-market DNA must remain intact to maintain client trust while integrating with Sidetrade’s systems.

  • Execution of AI Integration: Incorporating agentic features without destabilizing existing workflows will require careful design and change management.

  • Retention of Key Clients: EzyCollect’s client base must remain confident in continuity and future upgrades.

  • Regulatory and Market Differences: APAC markets vary in regulation and finance infrastructure, so adaptation will be necessary.

What It Means for the Future of B2B Finance

  • Democratization of AI for SMBs
By combining automation and intelligence, smaller companies that lack finance teams can benefit from capabilities once reserved for enterprises.

  • Global Agentic Finance Infrastructure
With more diverse data and geographic coverage, Sidetrade is building toward a truly global, autonomous finance platform.

  • Acceleration in O2C Innovation
The mid-market is a largely underserved segment. With the scale and AI infusion, competition in O2C is likely to intensify.

  • Cross-regional AI Learning Loops
Insights from APAC behavior can influence decision logic in Europe and the U.S., enabling more robust predictive models across contexts.
