Salary: $5,007 - $14,487 per month, based on qualifications and experience
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Academic Year: Positions are available throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, with flexibility in scheduling.
The Marketing Department within the College of Business and Economics is looking for part-time faculty to teach a variety of marketing courses, including Bus 1010 and Bus 4150. As a part-time lecturer, your duties will include preparing and delivering engaging lectures, grading assignments, holding office hours, and contributing to the academic success of students. Positions are filled as needed based on enrollment and department requirements, which means part-time lecturers may be called upon on short notice.

A Master’s Degree in a business-related field
Proven professional expertise in marketing
A strong ability to relate to students and colleagues in an academic environment
Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching
Proficiency in both written and spoken English
Preference will be given to applicants who:
Have experience working with diverse populations
Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment
Have prior teaching experience in higher education
Bring relevant work experience and marketing knowledge to the classroom
Teach undergraduate marketing courses, including but not limited to Bus 1010 and Bus 4150
Prepare and deliver lectures
Grade student assignments and exams
Hold office hours to provide additional support to students
Contribute to the marketing department’s goals and initiatives
The salary range for this part-time lecturer position is as follows (based on full-time equivalent rates):
Lecturer A/2: $5,007 - $6,359 per month
Lecturer B/3: $5,925 - $12,594 per month
Lecturer C/4: $6,500 - $13,831 per month
Lecturer D/5: $8,184 - $14,487 per month
Most new faculty lecturers will be hired at the Lecturer A or Lecturer B rank, depending on qualifications and experience. The actual salary for each individual will be determined based on their credentials.
