Before I started my trip, I checked the weather for trekking to Annapurna Base Camp because I wanted to enjoy every moment. The best time to do this trek is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). In these months, the weather is mostly clear with warm days and cool nights. The temperature during the day usually stays between 10°C and 20°C (50°F to 68°F), which feels just right for walking. At night, it gets colder, sometimes dropping close to freezing, so warm clothes are needed. According to the Nepal Tourism Board, over 40,000 trekkers visited Annapurna Base Camp.
When I was there in October, I enjoyed bright blue skies and fresh mountain air. Sometimes, light rain came, but it never stopped me from enjoying the green forests and beautiful mountain peaks. The weather changed fast sometimes, with cool winds and sunshine switching quickly. It made the trek more exciting. The trail can get slippery in the rainy season (June to August), so many people avoid trekking then. Winter (December to February) can be very cold, and snow may cover the higher trails, making the trek harder.
Knowing the weather helped me pack the right clothes, like a warm jacket, rain gear, and good shoes. The mix of sun, cool air, and mountain views made my Annapurna Base Camp trek a wonderful experience. If you want to enjoy this trek fully, always check the weather for trekking Annapurna Base Camp before you go—it helps make your trip safe and fun.
