Material Testing is applied to determine the properties of packaging materials. Understanding the components properties and how they may change over time or after sterilization, is essential in properly designing effective packaging. The ISO 11607-1 outlines the appropriate approach for distribution simulation, package integrity, and package strength, also states the need to ensure the materials used in a medical device package should comply with physical properties.
