Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of global disease burden and is an important global health issue. Typical CVDs include stroke, heart failure, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and ischemic heart disease. The incidence of CVD increases with age, and some modifiable risk factors, such as smoking, alcohol abuse, obesity, and lack of exercise, are closely related to the occurrence and development of CVD.
