For growth in the agriculture sector and the welfare of the farmers, various schemes have been started in 2024. Around 20% of the GDP and over 50% of the workers are employed in the farming industry. The motive of these schemes is to solve the difficulties and concerns in the farming sector. Now let's check some Central Government Schemes for farmers in India. 

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi - Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme in Gorakhpur, UP. In this scheme, a landholding farmer receives an INR of 6,000 in three equal installments.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan MaanDhan Yojana - This scheme is related to farmers' pensions. Under this scheme, every small & marginal farmer has to contribute INR 55 to INR 200 per month till 60 years of age. The farmers would receive a pension of INR 3,000 per month after they reach the age of 60.

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana - This scheme helps to recover crop damage from non-preventable natural disasters. This scheme was launched in Kharif in 2016. 

Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana—This scheme encourages and supports organic farming. 

Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana - This scheme takes care that a sufficient amount of water is given to the soil from different water bodies. Har Khet ko Paani is a part of this yoga. Creating new water sources, building rainwater collection structures, and renovating and restoring water bodies are all part of Har Khet ko Paani.
