One of the major effects of the ban on conventional motorcycles in China’s urban centers is the development of the e-scooter, e-motorcycle and electric bicycle industry.

This development has had an obvious effect on the export of EV and the R&D of new technologies involved in it.

After coming out of a time of recession, demand for Chinese electric e-motorcycles and electric scooter, has been growing progressively over the past few years.

China now has more than 130 million “e-bikes” or electric scooters, bicycles, and motorcycles on roads generating huge e-vehicles production bases with over 2000 companies manufacturing electric vehicles and parts in areas like Wuxi which has a business park that it the biggest center for the manufacturing and R&D of electric bikes globally.
