Lee Kyung-hoon and Lim Sung-jae finished the first round of the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship ($7.9 million purse) in a tie for second place after Hurricane Debbie.

The South Korean, who needs at least a runner-up finish to qualify for the playoffs, shot a 2-under 68 with five birdies and three bogeys in the first round at the par-70 Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., on Tuesday (Sept. 10).

The Wyndham Championship, the final event of the PGA Tour's regular season, was delayed by inclement weather and started later than expected, with nearly half of the 156-player field not completing the first round.

Lee began with a solid round, hitting 79% of his shots in the fairways and 83% of his greens in regulation.

However, he was unfortunate to make three-putt bogeys on the 3rd (par-3) and 11th (par-4) holes.

Lee needs to improve his FedExCup ranking from 99th to 70th in this tournament to qualify for next week's St. Jude Championship, the first event of the playoffs.

Lim Sung-jae, who qualified for the playoffs at No. 9 in the FedExCup standings, shot a 2-under 68 with five birdies and three bogeys to stay in the middle of the pack alongside Lee.

If Lim maintains his top-10 finish in the FedExCup, he will earn a top-10 finish on the Comcast Business Tour and a bonus paycheck.

A No. 1 finish on the Comcast Order of Merit is worth $8 million and a No. 10 finish is worth $2 million.

Kim Sung-hyun, ranked 110th in the FedExCup standings, carded a 1-under 69 to drop to the middle of the pack and will have to make the cut as his primary goal.

Kim, ranked 36th in the FedExCup standings, traded three birdies for three bogeys through the 15th hole and was back in the clubhouse with three holes to play.

Bo Hostler, who took advantage of a rain-soaked and softened course, fired a blistering round of one eagle and nine birdies with one bogey to take sole possession of the lead at 10-under 60. 파워볼게임
